Now that Floatilla II is over.....
How about suggestions for Floatilla Tres? Time of the year, the location, and the targeted species of fish....and why? I think we could have a vote on this shindig with the overall majority winner, being the spot and the species. I wouldn't mind seeing a sturgeon floatilla or a mini-floatilla as I've only gone after them twice, but not everyone has a motorized boat, etc. so I say the Satsop again for silvers, timeframe October-ish?

Yo Y'all,
I would love to do a Sturgeon Floatilla. Maybe we could do an oversized derby in July or August. By then it should be hot enough that you could wear the **** helmet.
I still like my idea of doing Floatilla III in the Florida Keys. "Have 9 weight will Travel.

Re: Now that Floatilla II is over.....
The Satsop in October might be questionable if the water is still down. With the numbers of boats that attend the Floatillas, and the limited number of holes that will have fish if the water is low, and the fishing could get pretty crowded. I'm all for the Satsop, but we'd better look at LATE October or early November.
Since you and Os forgot the picture-instructions I drew up for you, and were showed up by the Oregon guys, I guess I'm going to have to bring you guys with me so I can "help" you understand how to redeem yourselves Of course, the only flag that will be flying on my boat is the "Purple & Gold"
Anybody else have any input here?

How about Bouy 10 in August? With that s**tpile of silvers coming through plus the chance for some monster kings it should be fun and maybe even the Washington guys might catch a fish or two.

Re: Now that Floatilla II is over.....
I'd be up for the oversize Floatilla. I'm sure we could round up enough power boats. I have three spots, I'll leave my current no wallet bringing, forget the beer, don't know where to get bait fishing buds behind.
No tackle required.

Re: Now that Floatilla II is over.....
My $0.02 - I like Dan's idea of having a Satsop "Silverfest" in late Oct./early Nov. - the Tillamook run will be below normal for at least one more fall season and Bouy 10 would swallow up Floatilla III. The Satsop will be choked silly with cohos, like a lot of rivers this fall. It would help to get Os to No. III if it's scheduled before the Dawgs vs Beavs game; if it's after the game he may be tuckin tale for awhile. (jk Os). I just want you to be there since I had to miss No. II. You da man on the Satsop until proven otherwise, ay?

noriverdave, i used to have a few no wallet bringers, some people think these boats grow on tree`s and they operate on air, i think bouy 10 in august would be fun, get the fish, go in and bs and have a few beers...

Re: Now that Floatilla II is over.....
How about Banktilla #1 at say the Hospital hole on the Trask in early October. There's always some fish to be had there. Bobber fishing at its finest. Plus lots of room to fish and to camp over night and BBQ all day long. I was just thinking of the guys who dont have boats who would like to join in on the fun. My $.02 worth........Fishhead Vic

Re: Now that Floatilla II is over.....
If we can get enough sledheads out there we could have sledtilla on the Cowtilla in late Sept or early October, there should be a ton of Cowlitz and Toutle silvers in about that time. The Buoy 10 gig would be fun, or a Pt. Defiance day in mid August would be a thought for some returning south sound kings.
Good luck and tight lines, Jeff

Re: Now that Floatilla II is over.....
How about a August Flotilla III, then a October or November Flotilla IV. There are enough good ideas to have more then one with some months in between for planning.
I like the sturgeon idea and the silver/chinook fishery at Buoy 10. The Satsop sounds inviting also. Then again I've never jetted the lower Cowlitz. Fishhead has a great idea to get everyone involved. Really could be a party atmosphere since the fishing, food and drinks are so close when bank fishing. For bad weather a big over size trap could be erected.
Lots of great ideas. Anyone want to chair one or more events?

Rogue bay first week in August!
I know it's a long drive, but well worth your trouble.
Gator trip up North would be nice too.
