Default Depoe Halibut Tuna Combo Fri Report

Serious Fun and myself set out of Depoe around 5am for a Hail Tuna combo. headed to the hali grounds north of the Banana bank and found it to be slow. Mainly do to the Black Cod and Sharks whacking our gear. Shot down to a spot on the south side of the bank and picked up our two hali's. By now the tuna fleet were into the tuna and we were able to get coordinates from the group and set off to the tuna grounds. I don't have the exact location but we ended up 39 miles from Depoe for our return. We were around the 125 at around the 44 line. Got our first fish about 20 min. after dropping in gear. It was then slow unil all hell broke lose and we had five lines hooked up at once. With only two of us on the boat it made for quite the dance to get these fish in. Got all but one that popped of at the boat. It didn't take long from there to get the rest of our fish. Many doubles and the fish size was most impressive. We called it with a dozen nice fish and headed home. Thanks to everyone that called in numbers. Gotta love that

yes, seems each report gets closer and closer... again, makes me wonder at what point did the boats begin running right over fish, heading further west!

So many of these reports show the boats dropping baits and within a few minutes, BAMMM fish on! ... Hmm, makes me wonder at what point they started running over fish before getting into them?...

We need a boat to start about 30miles out and see when they hook up! :lurk:
