Well I wish I could say I found something wrong.....but the truth is a quick check of connections, sensors, safeties and filters showed nothing wrong. All I can hope is that there was bad connection somewhere that was fixed by unplugging and plugging them back together. EFI engines are very complicated w/ lots of sensors, connectors and such to go wrong. But I suspected it was something simple. Just wish I knew WHAT it was.
Oh well, lets just cross our fingers and hope it doesn't happen again anytime soon. Dave, you need to fish it this weekend before we'll call it good to go. There could be a re-occurring problem. And having someone competent check the error codes on the ECU, might give a clue as to what happened.
I probably should check the voltage regulators...it's possible they may not be working and the battery voltage just was too low for the ECU to function properly. Charging the battery would mask that problem. I noticed the starting battery for the big motor isn't tied into the on board charger and if the regulator isn't charging it back up, starter and trim motor draw would eventually draw it down again.
Anyway, glad to see it running now. Just hate to hear of an IFisher talking of cancelling family plans because of motor issues.
Happy to help fix nothing.
