White River Antlerless Elk Tag

I need a little advice here. I drew a #241 White River Antlerless Elk tag, one of 40. The season starts 11/17/07. I deer hunt over that way on a very large ranch and have gotten my buck most years, but the elk seem to stay in the higher country and off the ranch. This hunt is for all of units 41 & 42 including the White River Wildlife area. Where would you begin to look for elk in those units?

For your first post you should make an introduction, instead of asking guys about game unit info.

They will be lower by then. You might find them on the private property. If not then i would check in the game commission land by friend, there will definitely be some there.

Get in contact with the fish and game biologist for those units, they can point you in the right direction and sometimes put you in touch with land owners.

I've seen numbers of elk in the Rocky Point area and quite a few old skid roads in the area to hunt. Good luck!
