Last year I started learning how to tie many basic boat knots. I also played around. Obviously the Bowline is a bread and butter knot, but in my playing around, I stumbled upon a faster way to tie something that is like the bowline. Despite web and book searches, I have yet to see this knot described. On the way extreme chance that this is a new knot, I declare it to be the "Tommy Knot", otherwise I'm anxious to know what the knot's name is.
Form a loop:
Poke the bottom of the line up thru the loop:
Put the tag end through the second loop:
With confidence, pull the main line and a side of the loop apart (the yellow objects would be your hands):
After the loops seemingly invert from the pull-apart, the final knot forms:

The above pictures are exaggerated. In practice my left hand rapidly forms the loops, my right hand inserts the tag, and then a quick pull-apart sets the knot.
