Default Mounting Miller Marine anchor nest

I'm ready to mount my new Miller Marine anchor nest. Any suggestions on mounting it before I start drilling holes in my Weldcraft? Where have you mounted your rope cleat?

Smitty I sent you a PM.

Sorry I didn't respond to this sooner I have been swamped with orders and have not been spending much time on here the last few days.

For general information my recommendations for the mounting is as follows. I recommend to mock up the bracket with the anchor you will be using measure the distance your anchor will need to clear the bow if it is hanging straight down off the end of the roller. Keep in mind the anchor may be swinging when you bring it up. Each boat will be different you have to take into consideration the bracing wiring fuel lines Etc. This is why I don't give an exact measurement in my directions posted on my web site. WWW.MillerMarineProducts.com My phone number is etched into every bracket I make so if you have any questions just give me a call.

I also make the exact same bracket with no mounting holes so it can be welded on, or use existing holes from an old bracket. The weld on bracket is special order from me I have no dealers carrying this special Anchor Locker at this time.

The area needed to mount the Anchor Locker is 5.5" if you have a clear 5.5" the Anchor Locker will fit in that space. As far as being worried about the leverage on the bracket it is not going to bend it is stronger than the boat it is attached to. Leverage would only be an issue to the bow material the bracket is mounted to.

If anyone has any questions feel free to contact me I also have an email address you can write me from my web site.
Thanks Mike Miller

We put one on our new boat. MUCH easier than pulling the anchor up and over the roller to rest in the cradle. Saves your back! His 26 lb anchor holds a 6,050 lb boat just fine. You'll love it!

I would take the anchor you are going to use and raise it up to the front of the boat. Position the Anchor rest to where the anchor won't hit the bow with the tines while retreiving the anchor from the water.

The Ball and anchor shouldn't have to be lifted at all.
