Angling Restrictions Lifted on Lewis River as of 5/29/01

Just found this notice on the Washington Dept. of Fish and Wildlife website today. Anyone out there have any word on chinook or steelhead on the Lewis? [img]images/icons/cool.gif[/img]

Update: Now I kno why I didn't get any responses on this one. Sometimes silence says a lot. Here is my update for anyone wondering the same as I was:

May be more going on upstream from the mouth of the Lewis and Columbia but no action seen Saturday morning through slack tide about 1 p.m.

You are early. Steelhead fishing here seems to start about the 4th of July as the Columbia warms. Continues to improve through July and into August when it can be fantastic, if (big if) there is enough current in the Lewis to pull the green (colder) plume out into the Columbia. September brings the cohos and the fall chinook (which must of course be released).
