Default Prefered Baits for the Floatilla 2

Whats the prefered bait to use on the Floatilla trip this saturday? Eggs, Shrimp, Spinners, Bobbers and jigs? Never fished that river so I need a head start.Thanks .....Fishhead Vic [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

Yes. And also chrome/chartreuse or chrome/blue K-14's and standard Warts. You should sneak a pink worm or 2 into the right water. [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

For springers its good salmon eggs, Hands down. Sandshrimp take thier fair share. Artic prawns work well too. #5 Blue Fox in chartrues and red are good bets. Kwikfish and Flatfish in chartruse and chrome, Gold and orange and hot red with black spots are all good choices.
The steelies love sandshrimp behind a Hot-N-Tot. You dont need any kind of spinning drift bobber with the shrimp. Plain old driftfishing with corkies and shrimp or eggs will get them too. Bobbers with jigs in pink and white, pink and purple and cerise and white are good choices.
Remember if you use bait you have to use a #1 or larger hook.

The hottest bait on the river right now is corn. Well, maybe with just a bit of velveta on the hook too. [img]images/icons/tongue.gif[/img]

Seriously, one of the most deadly techniques is drifting the banjo minnow. (or was it the flying lure?) [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img] [img]images/icons/shocked.gif[/img]
