Wind River Clean-Up June 16th
The date is the 16th if you cant make it, sorry but we wish you could have joined us!
I'm not an organizer kinda guy (I'm an ideas man ) but this is a start. Anyone that has ideas like trying to get a dumpster or selecting a location to meet ect. you get the idea post them here and we will get this thing put together!
I will admit I'm expecting lack-luster turnout based on the Sportfishermans reputation and lack of involvement, i.e the Salmon toss, the protest at Bonneville last year and I'm the first to point the finger at my-self. I wasn't involved in either one of these events, SHAME ON ME, but if you miss this one, SHAME ON YOU! Even if you have to drive all the way from Seattle to your "secret" spot to help clean it up you should be there!
Lets see how this goes!
The eternal pessimist!

Re: Wind River Clean-Up June 16th
I will help put this together, we can meet at the Beaver Campground or one of the stores or even at the hatchery and figure out were we want to go from there depending on how many of us there are. I will try and bring a posse of us that take our share of fish from that river. I am sure we can arrange for the fish and wildlife service to have a dumpster at the hatchery or the forest circus, I will try and arrange that Myself. When we are done I plan on fishing, so who ever shows up, it will be worth the effort.

Re: Wind River Clean-Up June 16th
Like I said in my last post, I'll be there. I jumped to conclusions on the last Wind thread and posted a sarcastic comment about people who think they own the rivers when the whole thing was about the pigs that popular rivers draw. Well, I can make it on the 16th so I'll be there.

Re: Wind River Clean-Up June 16th
Unavailable on the 16th. Hope it goes well.
However, FishFinder and I will be on the river on the 3rd (Sunday)...with garbage bags in tow - as well as maybe a rod or two
Probably be better off cleaning up rather than fighting the crowd fishing, although we brave the P.C. boat ramp every year, couldn't be a whole lot worse than that??

Re: Wind River Clean-Up June 16th
I can't commit yet, but I'm going to try hard to get there. I've never been to the wind though so some directions would be appreciated. If I can make it, I'll come armed with the video camera as well, just in case some of the human garbage is misbehaving out there.

Super T, I don't know exactly how to get to I-84 from Hillsboro, but you take 84 east to I think exit 42, the bridge of the gods, cross it into washington then go east on 14 through Stevenson and follow it for about 5 miles then you will take a left up the hill that says wind river rec. area/ carson and that is the wind river road and you just follow it and stop were ever your hearts desire.
