Looking for family dog

I am looking for a family puppy and am a little low on funds but we have more than enough love to give, we can afford to take car of the dog just cannot afford to pay much for the pup. If anyone was to have either a small breed puppy or lab pup that is need of a good home please pm me

Capn' Dan here on ifish runs the portland lab rescue. He frequently has dogs available for adoption and will give you the straight dope on the dog from his viewpoint and he comes in contact with lots of dogs. I would shoot him a PM if I was looking for a pet.

I would prefer a pup so that it could really get a bond with my kids My son is three and my daughter is one but the right dog and I guess it would be that big of deal

Get a pound puppy. We did and Sheba was the best dog we ever had. This time we stepped up for a Registered Lab and to say the least she has been a hand-full. You need to handle the dog a few times to see what they are like around kids and other animals. But to save a life feels so good.

The pound has lots of dogs that will be put down soon. Visit a few times, alone, single one out and bring the kids to look. Our current mut found me in a katrina dumpsite.

Thanks for all the help I was able to find a yellow lab through a friend the dog is in Lakeview and will be picked up the weekend of july 7th
