Default Any Clackamas Reports???

Hi, I have managed to bargain with the wife for a few hours of fishing Monday morning. Any updates on the Clack? How far up are the Springer's & Steelhead and are there any lure hints? Are the Shad accessible from Gladstone?

Thanks,

Dave

There are fish all the way up to River Mill.

The waters low so you have to pick your spots, go early too.

We've been getting them on eggs.

We were on the river at 6:00AM. Used some very nice eggs along with all the other guides that were fishing and noone was catching. Just one of those bad bite days. Was so bad I know some went to fish the Willamette(likely for Shad).

SteelieSteve, one important fact you left out. You were fishing with me, not David Johnson. He is from what I have seen, one of the most consistent fish catchers on the Clackamas. When others get skunked, he always seems to have fish. He knows what he is doing on this river.

David Johnson and Lance Deuth are two of the most considerate sledders I see, when I am floating the Clackamas in my drift boat. As you know from our float yesterday, that can't be said of a few of the sleds out there.

Thanks, I try to get along with every one.

We'll see how consistent we can get fish tomorrow as this river drops lower and lower.

At least we are gettign some coler nights and days, maybe we'll even get a little rain.

David and Spooled
It should help if the cloud cover hangs around. I can only wish it would have been here yesterday. All that sun doesn't help the hookups. Hey spooled it's not like we didn't work hard for a bite. Thanks for the trip and I hope to do it again with you soon.
