Threw the tube in the truck and my 5wt and headed up to my favorite lake in the Molalla Hills. After Navigating the bumpy logging roads I finally made it there about six. Went to get my gear out of the truck and realized "OH SHEET" I forgot my darn vest and fly box at home!!! I already had one size 14 elk hair caddis on, but with my skills it would wind up on a limb by the second cast. Not to let it discourage me I made the short hike to the lake and when i got there stopped to watch and saw no risers. Sigh. Oh well it was a nice evening and i had the mountains to myself. By the time I blew the tube up and slipped on my flippers and settled into my tube I turned around and their were fish rising EVERYWHERE!! YES!! Seriously you could look across the lake, not very big mind you, and see 2-25 fish rising at once. SO I made my rounds around the edges of the lake and caught 4 on my first four toss's! Absolutely gorgeous little Eastern Brook Trout. I ended up with 37 in all and missed/lost 20 others, ALL ON ONE ELK HAIR CADDIS.

LUCKY. So mad the camera was dead! No size to any of them the biggest 2 were both 11 inches. Alot of nines, and the average was probably eight. These fish don't get really big in this lake but their is lot's to be had. Anyways next time I will be sure to pack camera charger!! It was a beautiful evening on my favorite lake. And will be heading back shortly!!!
