Halibut
Sufficient poundage remains after the May recreational fishery for an additional one day of fishing on June 8, 2001 for Pacific Halibut in all-depth waters for the sub-area between the Florence north jetty and Humbug Mountain. There was not enough poundage remaining on the Cape Falcon to Florence north jetty sub-area quota for another day in June.
Additional open day(s) for the recreational all-depth fishery are scheduled for August. An announcement will be made on July 20, 2001 if one or two days in August will be open between Cape Falcon and Humbug Mountain for the all-depth recreational halibut fishery. This fishery is scheduled to be open on August 3 and/or August 4.
The recreational Pacific halibut fishery between Cape Falcon and Humbug Mountain remains open inside of the 30-fathom curve seven days a week. This fishery will remain open until either the quota is reached or September 30, 2001, whichever occurs first.
The Oregon recreational Pacific halibut fishery also remains open in all-depth waters north of Cape Falcon and south of Humbug Mountain seven days a week.
The daily bag limit is the first fish 32 inches or longer and the annual limit is six Pacific halibut.
