Default Kem Sand Trap Install (pics)

KEM sand trap installation on my boat. Used 5/16 threaded stainless steel rod to make a "bracket". Also used 3/4" Gates "green stripe" radiator hose from Baxters Automotive.
I drain the ball valve into a fine screen mesh to remove the sand. Could plumb the drain valve to a hose and flush with the Jet...but that's just showing off!
It's tight in there. Trap fits between remote oil filter and starter with just enough room to get to the jet clean out.

Looks good!

The way you mounted it is pretty slick. Looks like you won't need a tee and valve on the intake line either to drain the water out of the hose to "winterize" it.
