Default Gun Cleaning as per Reloader Magazine

Good article in June Reloader Mag. on why clean a rifle at all. The info near the end of it mentions a bore ceramic coat that cuts copper fouling to nothing making cleaning intervals even larger.
Article is at the last page. Author; John Barsness says he lets some of his smaller caliber rifles go several hundred rounds without cleaning, and does not suffer in accuracy. Interesting read...

Some rifles need to be cleaned rather often, some not very often at all.

Rifles are like people. They all have distinct perdonalities, and making general statements like "You have to clean every 30 rounds, or accuracy will fall off" is a great way to look foolish.

Clean them before setting them in the safe for very long.

BR guys need not listen to me. They live in another world.
