DA Meeting - June 21st
What: DA (Duckaholics Anonymous) meeting
Where: Kennendy School
When: June 21st, Thursday, starting at 6:30-ish
Why: Because we need to, it's time
Who: You, your friends, and anyone else who has the fever

This is a really good chance to meet fellow duck hunters and start putting names to faces. Don't worry if you've never been, everyone is welcome all the same.

To be honest, I'm a little reluctant to, trying to keep with the "name the date and place" method. Once something like this goes to committee... it doesn't happen.
That being said, if this is over dogs, I can understand that. If it's the difference between 15 guys showing up or 17 guys showing up, then I'm hesitant. If it's the difference between 15 guys showing up or 30 guys showing up, that's a no brainer.
We've hit the Lucky Lab, the obvious dog friendly venue, two or three times in a row. Being that no venue or date had been suggested yet, I just went with a change of pace... trying avoid ruts and all.
With all due hesitation (sending this to committee), how does that hit you all?

As I posted the other thread about this...Cool place...good beer & I like the detention room for hard licks, the wine bar downstairs, but I can't think of a more tree hugger friendly joint if I tried. It will be interesting to see the looks on all the folks when we come in with our Mossy Oak, NatGear and Max4 garb on. I wonder if there is a tie-dyed camo pattern to help us fit in better? 
I would bet there are more PETA members that patronize Kennedy School than folks who have hunting or fishing licenses. While I really do like this venue, I strongly feel it is not the right type of joint to get a bunch of duck hunters together. I'm going to pass because of this but hope it proves to be our go to spot. Enjoy!

I was hoping to make the next DA meeting. Marshbum has been causing duck disease flareups lately, but realize I'll be on Lake Shasta tomorrow wakeboarding behind my duck boat.  Or, is it duck hunting out of my wakeboarding boat....crap, who knows.  Doesn't matter to me, we have a blast one way or the other. 
In any event, have fun, and I'll catch the next one. Just a blink through TUNA! season until the opener!

Good time had by all....Marshbum, Adobewall, WF101, and BP9....  A lot of guys MIA??? Kennedy school wasn't all that bad of a venue...only a few fist fights broke out with the treehuggers between pitchers...lol Tell you one thing, talking ducks led to a sleepless night thinking about the marsh...
