Classic cars in Bend?
Here is my dilemma...I am getting married in Bend, Sept. 29th. I would like to arrange transportation for my bride and myself from the church to the reception. I was figuring that with the dry climate and all, there has to be some pretty sweet classics around town. I have always enjoyed seeing a well finished hot rod or classic car all done up. I really appreciate the amount of work it takes to get those rigs looking that good. One of my groomsmen really got me into beefed up 70's rods. He has a '72 GMC pickup that turns a pretty quick 1/4 mi. If that truck wasn't so far away, I would beg him to drive us to the reception.
So, I ask you central Oregon guys...know of anyone willing ($) to give up opening day of deer season to give a guy and his gal a lift?

Re: Classic cars in Bend?
I spend a lot of time in Bend, I can't recall seeing a "classic" - plenty of dirty 4x4 trucks and SUVs !
There must be a few, it's a big city now.

Re: Classic cars in Bend?
Ok, I know there are some sweet rides in Bend... A muddy SUV would be fine, but a bad ass hot rod would be way cooler!
And, yeah...not our ideal date, but it was when her brother could make it. He is in the Air Force and is overseas.

Re: Classic cars in Bend?
Maybe call some car clubs and see if they could point you in the right direction

Sure, I know a guy who would be happy to give up opening day of deer season to give you and your soon to be lovely bride a ride to the church. Just one problem he does not own a classic car. He owns one of every thing else but no classic cars. What matters it is the thought that counts, right?

Well, maybe a ride in the camper will work. When you leave the ceremony are you heading East? North? The reception is actually NE of the ceremony. Don't worry Bob, you won't be the only one at the ceremony in camo. And yes, it is the thought that counts. I appreciate your "thoughts"...all of 'em!

Heading east (Burns) w/o the camper. We are going to tent it this year.
We could set up a few chairs in the bed of the truck for you and Mandy. Would that work? Perhaps even give both of you a firearm. You would be right at home, just like some of the locals.
Nothing gets by you.
Looking forward to you owing me the rest of my life which could be very short if I keep this up..
