newbie
Hi, I've been lurking about for awhile and have felt guilty for not posting the requesite new guy post. I am concerned at the level of negative attacks in some post but the info outways the rhetoric.
Without sounding like 20 questions I'll answer some of them:
Oregon native 4th generation 35 years old
Married with children
First Salmon- Out of Illwaco 7 years old
First Steelhead- Clackamas 17 pounder (spoiled early)
Biggest Salmon-35# Trask (well about 5 at the same weight and I can't get past it)
Sauvie Islander- till my folks kicked me out.
NE Portland is home now.
I hate Sturgeon fishing, but love to eat it.
I don't get to fish too often with two little girls at home.
Darkest secret- I want to buy a sled so bad at the expense of my children's education!!!!
GO VIKS

Re: newbie
Welcome! Looks like I am about to blow some of my kids' education funds on a driftboat. It will be a used one so they should be able to make it up with some extra part-time jobs.

Welcome aboard Newbie. I think that kids education is more important- you have your head in the right direction.

Welcome to the greatest place on the net..
Now if I could only spend half the time I spend reading here, fishing life would be great!
Enjoy!
