Default Montana Trip

Headed to Montana over the holiday weekend. Going to fish rock creek, clark fork, missouri, and maybe the blackfoot. Talked to my brother last night and he said that the salmonflies are starting to show in the lower river. With the weather that they are having right now, it is only a matter of time before they make it up river into where we are going to be fishing. Will post pics and a report when I get back.

I just passed over those rivers last week on the way to Wisconsin and the heavy storms left the rivers looking like chocolate milk.

Rivers should be running high this time of year with snow melt, but hopefully they will at least clear up some.

You should have a good time. I just moved from Missoula after living there for 4 years. The snow melt was early this year and after the weather they have been having you will undoubtely have some good fishing. The higher you fish on the Rock Creek (MP 12 and higher) the better it will be too. Good luck and can't wait to see some pictures of those pristine fish.
