Default Springer fishing at the Clack today

I fished with Tuna Breath today at the mouth of the Clack today. The river was a beautiful Steelie Green. I had a take down about 9:00am. I let the fish pump the rod a couple of times and then WHACK I let em have it. About 2 seconds later my tuff line broke and the fish was gone, gone, gone. It must have gotten frayed during while sturge fishing awhile back. We had another drive by about 11:00am. The fish are there if you're patient.

We were using Kwick Fish with a Sardine Wrap. There were a couple of Steelies taken by the back bouncers using shrimp and weight instead of divers. There were about 5 total boats anchored up today. It was a great day and I can't wait to get back to it.

SPRINGERS BABY

A good reminder for everyone to check your gear your first time out. I hate loosing a fish to equipment failure

At least you felt a fish

Hey, Space...
You forgot to tell everyone I was the only one who caught a fish today. You guys wouldn't even pay up the "first fish" pot. Anyway, we were 2 apiece in the "Great Cribbage Challenge". Next time out, you're going down, down and skunked.
