Awesome to see bronze-backs like that!!!
By the way, please fill me in on details of the "plug-cut". I'm not familiar with the lingo of salmon/steelhead fishers yet.
Thanks, Joel

jcft2007, this is what were talking about. Very common trolling method for springers.

Re: Plug-Cut Smallmouth, thought you bass nuts would like this
O.K. !!
I learn something everyday!! For rigging the hooks, do you use a tandem rig: hook in the front towards the cut side and a hook in the tail so that it "swims" similar to flatfish??
On a different note, I have used frozen anchovys, sardines, smelt etc. as "cheater bait" when all other baits fail. Similar to nightcrawlers, in a way!!
Thanks for your info and help!!

Re: Plug-Cut Smallmouth, thought you bass nuts would like this
That is an awesome fish. Now you just have to catcha springer throwing a crankbait for smallies to even it out.

SWEET Evan, sweet! Did ya put her on the scales?
Too bad the pic didn't turn out better, that's one to add to the pic album.
