Default Latest edition to the Fam

Dad was an "English" Golden that is pretty much white

mom was a normal Golden. Kind of interesting, he has black skin, black nose and mouth(inside) and and very light golden color. I think he has already collected all the loose sticks around the yard and tasted everything else! As with most Retrievers, he can "retrieve" more than I care to throw things

Thanks all,
Hmmm it probably will just be a matter of time before stick ID is required  , but on that note I'll have him watch the "Goose ID" tape from ODFW so he can point out the right ones to me.

The light coat, dark skin, and nose is the sign a high quality pup, as far a color. In breed standards, the pup would be docked some points for light skin and nose pigment. You would have to agree the dark outlines around the eyes and mouth make for a very striking look.

I guess dad cost the breeder a few $$$$, more than I would/could pay. I got the last of the litter, a guess quite a few were shipped out in crates all over the place sight unseen (pictures though). He is a terror and full of pride when he is retrieving, running to the object and back as fast as he can move those little oven mits, but a little passive/submissive in interaction with his new humans. He probably didnt have a huge amount of contact with different people, but that is being corrected.
The other odd thing i notice about him is he like keeping his nose to the ground like a hound when he is walking around, which seems to help when he looses track of his "fetch" Fortunately his vision seems really good cause a lake aint a good place to put your head down for a good sniff!. (always bird and TV watching) I'll have to try some game birding with him instead of just water foul. All in all I couldnt be happier with him.

Now I get to kid my daughter she is trying to look like the dog when she puts on her eye liner
