Before things get completely out of hand with smelt dipping, please be mindful of your trash and the trash that others leave behind. I don't care what nationality they are, communcate to them that this is not O. K. to do. We must police ourselves and hold people accountable. The authorities have bigger fish to fry I guess.
If you don't want be confrontational? Then SHOW UP for one of these River Clean Up events! I'm daring you!

Norm's gone fishing, fastwater (thanks again guys) and myself hauled somewhere around 10-15 bags of trash out from behind the Texico last year.
It was pretty sad people. :depressed:
And let me tell ya. There's nothing quite like a plastic Wal-Mart bag (hmmmm.. imagine that a Wal-Mart bag. Well I'll be dipped) filled with half putrifyed smelt.
Yummy stuff indeed. It's right up there with "dead whale."
Honestly, I'm loosing my patience and gumpion to tolerate this continuing behavior.
I think someone needs a hug....

Rangar I hate when the river is littered with trash and I always take out my trash. Thank you for helping keep our rivers clean even though it is frustrating. Especially when people just take care of there bathroom issues right on your favorite fishing holes. I guess some people just have to go right then and can't take it somewhere else out of the way of people. Very frustrating . Thanks for your written support. Much appreciated.
Sorry if it seems like I'm "in everybodies face" about this. It's just that.. That particular location was a favorite to my Old Man and his spirit still haunts it today. His ashes are scatterd there. To me, it's sacred ground (However non-traditoinal it is). I feel it's about time we all start treating all of the rivers and the rest of the Earth as though it is sacred.
So you can see.. I have my reasons for being little peeved over the whole deal and specifically that site.
To whomever reads this....
If you want to show your support?
Then push yourself away from your keyboard and get out here and do something about it.
You won't need me for approval. You'll find satisfaction and a sense of stewardship that is quite pleasing. You too will get upset when you see someone polluting or littering.
I am hereby thanking you in advance.
Go out there and make a difference.

Well said Ragnar my brother!We all need to do our part by stading up to these people it is our job as people to protect not only the fish but the land as well. These kind of things can reck a good place to fish and for the others that see the filth a bad name for all fishermen!!
