The grizzly was about 200 yards away, I didn't have my big zoom lens on at the time. The other grizzly I took pictures of was 2 miles away. I am going back in July and hope to get more pictures. That was my first time to yellowstone park.....all I can say is wow.

Love them bears! Was in "the Park" about a month and a half ago; bears were just emerging. We usually make a trip in early - mid-June; 4-8 griz a day  .
Here is another way to do it:

What part of the park are you seeing 4-8 Griz a day in June? I'd love to have that kind of viewing chances.

Saw two female wolves with a total of 11 pups between them. But could not get a picture of them.

Yes Lamar valley is where we seen the first grizzly bear......I could spend days there.....didn't have a spotting scope, all I had was my binnoculars...when I go back in July will have a spotting scope.
