Default Upper Wind River

Anyone been up or planning on going? I read a WDFW report that said that as of 4/30 they had 500 springers through a trap at the falls. With a return of over 40k expected I would think there might be some good fishing to be had up there. Anyone know if its any good and where to go? I fished it once 16 years ago.

Fisheromen, I spoke with a biologist Friday and he told me they have had about 1000 fish through the trap. Most of the guys fishing the lower canyon (up to the falls) are reporting spotty fishing with the ones who know the river best picking up one or two. The biggest part of the run hasnt even entered the river yet so it will probably be the 3rd or 4th week of May before the fishing is good above the falls.
