Well I have been home for three weeks since my operation and I am getting tired of reading, watching TV and playing games. It will still be a week or two till the stitches come out and the shunts removed, then I will get out for short periods. No fishing for a while more until it is all healed.
They took a tumor that was the size of a small basketball out of my upper leg. Yeah, it was a malignant cancerous growth and they are pretty sure it is all gone, but??? It was really stupid of me to wait so long in seeing the doctor. Never again will I wait with something growing in my body.
This all takes place well I am turning 65. What a momentus year and time. I have decided to look at life closer and enjoy the time I have here. Stop and see the Elk in the meadow, the deer with her fawns, the clear chrystal river with spawning steelhead and most important, enjoy my family and all my grandkids. Never again will I take things as they are, but enjoy life.
I might miss Summer chinook but hope that I can at least get in some Summer Steelhead later on.
