Where do I start looking for kokanee? It's a big reservior and I probably could drive around all day looking so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Ed, I have caught quite a few Kokanee out of Green Peter over the years. If you put in at the first boat ramp and head out of that inlet into the main body and take a left. Then the next arm that will go to your left is where I catch most of the fish. You can fish all along the leftside upto the temp. campground. Then you will want to cross over to the other side. I will troll with wedding ring set up with 1oz and tipped with a peice of worm. Hope this helps!

Ed, I trolling by the dam this time of the year at a depth of 45 to 55 feet. Downriggers will be a big help. Also like using white corn on my kokanee spinner. A drop or two of anise or shrimp oil also helps.

ED.
Ive done fairly well jigging by the dan this time of year. A small green, glow or hot pink buzz bomb did the trick for me. I use a smaller treble then what they come with. I put a split shot an inch above the hook between the the hook and the rubber bumper. tip the hook with white cornsoaked in shrimp oil and you are ready to go. years ago we found them at a depth
of about 40'. We caught 3 limits in about 2 hoursone sunday morning after work.
I here ther are some big Kokes this year. I saw a pc of a 26" 5 lb koke caught this year out of Green Peter.
Good Luck

Ed, Like Artwo mentioned go to the Kokanee Page. Open the map of GP and look at the outlined trolling lanes. These are good places to start. In addition, look at the past reports for GP and see where people were have success in May in past years.

Also, post your fishing results on the Kokanee page if you get a chance.
