Roys night fishing outing
I haven't heard the details on the jetty fishery!
Are we having a campfire/bbq pre func?
We could do it at our house, which would be great fun, and Bill OKd it, or at the park there.
Let me know???
I am looking forward to this event and would love to see the count so far, bait?
I don't think night fishing on the rocks is for me, with my eyesight, or lack thereof, but I would love to go and meet some of you beforehand, take the kids, etc.
I know this is not a good opportunity for kids to actually fish, but beforehand is ok, right?
I think if we do a pre thingy, we should arrange for people to bring paper plates, etc, have someone in charge of cleaning up...
Whatever, but let's talk details???
I'll help however I can!
Shall I do a page where we can post updates??
Jen

Re: Roys night fishing outing
Jen/Roy,
Looks like my whole family will be coming, we will all be attending the bbq pre func but only myself and my older daughter will be staying to fish. I am looking forward to meeting all of you fellow ifishers and being able to learn some new fishing techniques I've wanted to learn for a long time. Can you recommend a motel/hotel in the Tillimook/Barview area that we could stay at. I'm looking for a place that the wife and younger daughter could have somethings to do like swimming pool, rec room, etc. and cost is not really not a big deal since it's only for one night. I need to find them a place were they can be entertianed since not being able to fish at night with us will drive my youngest (six years old) crazy because she loves to fish. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.
JK

Re: Roys night fishing outing
There's another one!!! Is what I plan on hearing over and over. I love jetty fishing at night.
Location - North Jetty Tillamook Bay at Barview County Park. Right at the Coast guard tower parking lot. If it is dark when you arrive, We will be easy to find, look for the lights.
Date: May 19th (satuday)
Time: 9:00 pm (around dark) to about 1:00 AM
What to bring: pole, lantern if you got one. I will be fishing a 6 ft graphite trout pole with 6 pound line and spinning reel. I like to use 1/4 ounce lead headed jigs and 3 inch twisty tail rubber worms. Bucket for your fish. Dont forget the positive attitude.
As far as meeting early, I love the idea. We can meet at the Jetty early and BBQ up something, we can meet at a local restaurant for dinner, Jens house would be great also, I dont care. The getting to together and saying hello is what it is all about.
If it is rainy and stormy it will not be good fishing.

Re: Roys night fishing outing
Looks like Bill thinks it a fine idea to have a pre func here.
Bbq? Need extra hibachi or bbq if so. Picnic would be good!
Kids are welcome, even though you might not want to take them out on the rocks. My kids love having other kids over.
Need details on time, I would say around 6ish?
I need a count number, so send BOE a reserve if you are going to the event or the event and the pre event.
I am glad that I can be part of this!

Re: Roys night fishing outing
Thanks for your hospitality Bill/Jen. Jen, e-mail me a list of things I could bring to help out, I'll bring whatever I can. I'll also need some directions to your place, I'll be coming from the direction of Tillimook.
Thanks,
JK
