Default New Flatlander

Howdy world of Ifishers! I have not been posting for some time. I was waiting for the Jen/RT thing to clear out. Looks like the BB is starting to settle down again. I am always reading the posts but prefer to lie in the weeds when there is nonsense going on. .....Anywho...The reason for this post is I am looking for someone to train me how to be a local flatlander. I have lived over on the coast for 20 years, but now that I am here in Salem, I am kinda out of my environment. Where to go for summer runs???...Springers off the bank??? Anyone out there feel like teaching me or trading secret fishing spots? I hate to think that my steelhead gear is gonna sit out in the garage untill this comming winter......noooooooo!!!!.......So if you need a slave to pull anchors on a weekend, or just someone to help with gas and grub. Drop me a line.

Im not sure if this will help much but Im new here so i need to break the ice sometime. I dont do a whole lot of fishing on the Willamett but between a couple of family members a friend and myself we have taken 5 summers and released 2 winters from the bank this year already and that was early in the season within 3 weeks of opener, i have also seen 4 or 5 others caught there by other fishermen. Its not a real big spot room for bout 8 or so rods but there usually isnt anyone else there beside a boat from time to time. Its a real peacefull place if your willing to walk or bike a little ways. if you want details on where it is feel free to e-mail me. TrigrHpyX@aol.com

Ive been comming to this site for sometime now and have really enjoyed all the info and help you all have given, Thanx. I just recently registered and will be leaving my 2cents worth from time to time.

****** - I understood, They are just like me an ex-steep person

They were looking for help here in the flatlands of the Willamette valley. I simply pointed out you were as flat as they come and could maybe help with local fishing holes. I myself am challenged at catching here in your backyard as I have pointed out in the past.

All in good humor I hope Bait. If not, get over it. LOL. The "flat" thing keeps "landing" on me, so I gotta "defend" myself, I suppose. Nah.
