I'll be putting a hairy eyeball on it come Friday morning. Given the past performance of NOAA to predict the weather with better than 50 % accuracy. I look at their forecast and the the Navy forecast and a bunch of other sites before I cancel a trip. I don't know how good Thursday will be but from the models I see it does'nt look all that bad for Friday and Sat. There forecast that NOAA is giving doesn't even match their own model. They had a small craft warning this weekend and I'm told it was great out of Garibaldi. If nothing else I'll put out some crab traps fish for some herring and relax on the boat. I'll get to that honey do list some time.

5 & 5 don't sound all that good, but like the man says, best to put the sailors eye on it. We'll be there Thurs AM, if all else fails the Rogue has a fine selection.
Roger, give me a call Thursday and I'll give you an on site weather report, it might save some the drive.

If we can't go...I'll have my summer camp set up at south beach annex and we can always have a big BBQ, watch a little NASCAR or NBA and share a few brews.

I will give a hairy eyeball from yesterday.

I went out on the ODFW Tagging Boat yesterday. In the morning there was slight breeze in the am but it started to pick up to 1k as noon appoached. The sun was out but as the wind picked up the fog rolled in. The wind picked up steadily and was about 20k with the accompanying wind waves mixed in with the swell. It made for a fast drift and slow ride back against the wind. The fog blew off for the afternoon and the wind in town was not what it was on the water.

This morning there is a thick mist and the wind abated but never stopped last night. It is blowing about 10k right now at my house and the fog is still pretty thick. 46050 does not look like a fun place to be right now.

My boys from CA say they are committed and coming regardless of the forcast. So far they are 100%, never getting blown out in 5 trips up, but we sure have fished in some snot. We should have fun regardless, fahrting around in the bay and river for sturgeon and crab is the backup plan.

We will be aboard a 25' Farallon whaleback, the Stormy C.
