Well after much hard work late last week on the new mounting solution for the bowmount on the
Hunt'nFish Sled, I did NOT get to fish Sat. Late Friday I was putting the finishing touches on it & went to slide the motor on and

....I forgot to install a 12v socket for the plug!
Debated about just going springer fishing and decided get the bowmount socket taken care of was more important. So off to Westmarine for a Marinco kit. (I like the Marinco socket because it water tight w/ o-ring and if water does get's it, it can drain through the socket & not short out and drain the batteries.)
Got it installed and still had time to spend w/ the kids at the park.
Here's a pic of the
QD Mount.
This was my first alum tig welding job and although the welds on other side look better, it isn't in danger of breaking. I designed it w/ an integral anchor roller for a small mushroom. Remove 2 bolts and I can put the old river anchor can back on as well. Nothing is lost, but for the most part this is my bass/duck boat, so the mushroom will reside there most of the time.....I still have the Crestliner for the big water.
Sunday I fished the Sandy Delta and wouldn't ya know it....I get there and someone is parked on my spot! Grumble, grumble. Fished close by in the hopes that he would fish it a bit and move on. NOPE. camped on it all morning. Finally I decided to bag it and go elsewhere so I slipped over to another spot and picked up one fish. WHOOPIE! (sarcasim) then went down stream of main delta and fished the slack backsides of the islands. Picked up a couple but no size. Saw the other boat go by so I zipped up and fished another hour before I had to go and picked up two nice 2lbrs.
Bowmount bracket worked awesome. Very pleased with it.
So if you see a white sled on the Willey or CR w/ a guy standing on the bow, wave and holler HI.
