Default Halibut of the gods

Thanks Odin for inviting Smoked Salmon and myself on Saturday to chase some Halibut. We got a really early start and shot across the bar before it lumped up. A little moon to see by at first and then it hid behind the clouds.

The ocean was pretty and I sure have missed her, my first love. We got a couple of average fish and one chicken. Many of the CR regulars were there too. I never would have guessed it but these guys have reels with no handles and they make a funny whirring sound. Me I just turned the handle until my rig showed up at the boat. We got back to the beach pretty early and the trip was flawless. Never fished with Smoked Salmon before and now I know why Odin likes him so much .. funny guy with a great attitude.

We went again on Sunday and the same routine. But a totally different ocean. Rough and getting worse as we fished. The third guy was Andy, Odin's son in law. He's a great guy too. We scratched up two small halibut and gave up early due to the slow action and rough short chop.

First salt in 6 months, long overdue. Thanks Odin, you run a great boat featuring safety, common sense and a fun attitude.

Hope the rest of you got some too.

Very nice. First salt for me in a while Saturday too. Sounds like a good time was had by all out there.

All lies. I'm a grumpy curmudgeon who would just as soon push you into the drink as look at ya.

If you took a shower once in awhile your attitude would improve Bill. Good job Bob.

Sport ocean yesterday. I should have listened to you and turned around. Oh well, it was only 44 gallons of petrol @ $3.58.
