Hi there. zzzzz wake me up, gotta take Andrew to the doctors.
OH.. Ok, zzzzz I learned Html at
Case Western Reserve Insititute. The bug bit me badly about 4 years ago, and my ISP became my mentor in learning. This was the best tutorial I found. Try it! It's fun!
I have books that go sideways across my office wall on cgi, html, java, javascript.
Cheatin programs? Yes, I use one for this site as it has over 1000 pages.
I use Dreamweaver and homesite occasionally. I have tried corel webmaster deluxe, visual page and a couple others which are now filed neatly in the trash.
Dreamweaver has site management tools that allow me to save templates and library snippets that I place repeatedly throughout the site.
It also has a link checker, tells me how big graphics are, etc. I really like it.
Of course, Dreamweaver occasionally inserts a few code comments here and there that I really don't appreciate, so I have to hand edit it before publish. I'm picky.
I don't see how anyone can use a wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) program for html without knowing html to correct it occasionally.
It's tough, because creating documents in html have to be viewed correctly on so many platforms, os, browsers, screen res, and color depths... That's why I continue to love/hate it!
It's a passion for me!
