Anyone know when the Columbia opens for steelhead?

Because i am too lazy to go to the store and get some regs anyone wanna fill me in on when the Columbia below Bonneville dam opens for steelhead?

June 15th is when the Columbia opens for Steelhead and Shad. You can't fish for fall Chinook unitl August 1st. [img]images/icons/confused.gif[/img]

Rob...the Columbia opens for steelies about mid June. Fishchaser probably has the correct date. Should be open for shad now. I usually watch the count for the steelies at Bonneville...and when it hits 2500...I start. Usually about August 1 or so....and that's when the salmon season opens up there too. I've found in past years that usually the catch is salmon (Closed season tho.) from mid June til about the first of July or so.

For above the I-5 bridge (unless something has changed this year)...

Shad opens May 16th

Steelhead opens June 16th

Salmon opens August 1st

Mr. Allen, I fish from a boat soon after June 16 above I-5...You plunk so you should hit the beaches below I-5 on May 16th. You can catch them this early but numbers are low....We fish for steelhead through July and till the accidental Salmon hookups and Aug-1 cause us to switch over to Brad's [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

Thanks all:O) Actually although I plunked for Spring chinook my interest in plunking for steelhead is nil. I have my eyes on a couple spots where I plan to Fly fish the Columbia for Steelhead. My biggest concern however is water temps.
ANyone know what the temps usually are in mid June-August? Temps between 50-60 are ideal for me. Hee Hee did i mention I plan on catching them on DRY flies????
