Trout Q

Hi guys, I'm not a over here to much, but I do look at your stuff !

My question is for trout fishing, my girls don't want to chase springers on Sunday, would the best bet be Detroit or Green Peter ? or, others ? out of Salem ?

If you want to catch lots of fish goto Detroit, There are good sized fish in there, there just out numbered by the smaller fish.. kids will love it there!

Green Peter will probably be a bit slower! but the fsh seem to be a bit larger than normal this year!

I caught some relly nice Kokes this year @ Green Peter! couple were about 17" that is where I would go! unless your kids just want to catch lots of fish!

I haven't fish those bodies of water before but if you want something closer, there is walter wirth that is close to the salem airport. They stock that with legal and larger size trout. Powerbait and worms work there. Good luck

Detroit will have zillions of fish for kids to catch. Green Peter could be good but you could just as easily get skunked there! You cannot get skunked at Detroit- that is a guarantee!

Detroit has produced nicely for the kids for me last weekend and 2wks ago. Try trolling a piece of worm with a couple of split shot. Also a rainbow powerbait with a split shot. No need for flashers right now. If the bait isn't working (usually happens midday if the sun is out), try a silver needlefish or triple teazer. go get um!
