Default Rod/reel combinations....?

What is a good rod/reel/line set up for springers, and also what is a set up for sturgeon?

Just found out my wife and I have a nice little tax return coming our way...so I might be able to get away with gearing up a little so that I no longer have to mooch riggings for salmon/sturgeon. Its one thing to mooch empty seats, but to then show up empty handed sucks.

So...what is a good set up? For the salmon, I'd probably be largely on the banks, though in boats from time to time as well. I have a steelhead setup that works great...just want to gear up for the bigger boys now.

Any inputs would be appreciated.

I'll also need tutorials on how the heck to effectively fish for springers from the bank. Sturgeon from a boat I got, corkies/yarn or spinners for steelhead I got...though not very effectively...and I've seen the riggings for spinners for salmon and herring. But to target salmon from the banks I am clueless.
