Looking to crew on your boat

Let me introduce myself, my name is Rick aka Irish Pennant I'm looking for an open seat from time to time and a chance to crew and fish with some of you salty dogs.
My boat crew qualifications are:
1) USNR 1975-81 Boatswains Mate 2nd class, I went thru Boatcoxswain School, Rigging School and Dive School, I drove Mic Boats, Swift Boats, Utility Boats and the Captains Gig. I ran Liberty Boats when ever we were anchored off shore.
2) From 1998-Currently USCG Auxiliary, Boat Coxswain
3) Small Boat owner operator most my adult life, currently I have a 20' NW Jet
4) Never been sea sick
5) Don't complain much or loudly

Fishing Qualifications
1) I have never worked as a deck hand on a fishing boat
but I do know how to tie a variety of knots and rig a variety of baits.
2) I listen well (can't hear good) and I pick things up quick
3) I fish hard and I'm passionate about it.

All in all, I'm in ok shape for a 49 year old man, no medical problems, don't smoke and I know when and when not to drink.

I will pitch in my fair share of cash and chores, I'll even listen to your stories.

I do not have a regular crew of guys due to my goofey schedules, but will keep you in mind for sure, I'm sure you could teach me a thing or two

I think posting a wanted open seat thread is a good idea. I did it alot last year. It is a good way to get noticed. I am sure drivers will also post open seats on the board and not just in the drivers thread. Same reason, get noticed. Good luck getting rides. Hope to see ya out there.

It sounds like you are indeed good crew. I'll be doing some "research" trips for tuna at cost later this year, no guarantees on success as we'll be trying different things to see what works. I'll post open seats as the trips come up.
