I've got a few vacation days to burn before they expire. So the wife and I are planning to take two or three weekdays next week and do some fishing. Any recommendations on where to go. Steelhead, steelhead, springers...its all good. First thought was to head for the coast.
Don't come down here.

Welllllll, if I had a few days off in early May there is only one place that I would head for.........the mouth of the Wind River. Nothing eats like a Wind River Springer, and we might even catch a few in the next few weeks.

You live in Brightwood? Very close to the Sandy. Many good spots to fish, Steelhead and Salmon are there. You just have to find them. Try eggs and sandshrimp and go get some fish.
