Rage against the machine?
That's what Andrew drove to L.A. for! Wow! He's so pumped. I'm so glad he had the chance to go see his favorite band!
Does anyone else follow this band?

Re: Rage against the machine?
They are pretty good, I don't like them so much because of their rap like vocals
Other than that they are a pretty good band. Glad he got the chance to go, there is nothing like going to a concert!

Re: Rage against the machine?
Yeah. Andrew was really bummed when they broke up, thinking he'd never get to see them in concert. So, for him... it was WAY worth the drive.
I hadn't even ever heard them, and when he described the opening, he made me have goosebumps on my arms!

Re: Rage against the machine?
Rage against the machine is a awsome and original band.
They don't sound like anybody else
They are a very political band
But their lyrics do have alot of meaning to them
The guitarist is awsome
He does some weird stuff with the guitar and amp and alot of it without pedals
What makes this band great is its original sound and the lyric content
their sound is like a mixture of metal, rap, and funk plus thier own edge
Their kind of hard to fit into a genre
The concert in L.A. is going to be huge
Their playing with some huge acts
The show should be wild
Ive seen some live concert footage and it pretty intense
I think he'll have an awsome time
Ive even heard rumors of a reunion tour since audioslave split up

Re: Rage against the machine?
I like their sound but the ideas they try and promote with their lyrics are way to Che Guevara for me. Glad the guy who went to see them had a good time though.

Noooooooooo!
That last Audioslave CD was very good....not great, but very good.
So what's Cornell going to do now?

Re: Rage against the machine?
I really wasnt a big afan of audioslave
but he'll probaly start a new project
Or he could want to take some time off
But i do hope RATM reunites, releases a new album and goes on tour
I think that would be awsome
I would go see them if they came to seattle or portland

Re: Rage against the machine?
rage is good, i don't like audioslave, totally different style, rage is real original and they do have meaning in their lyrics, system of a down is still more consistent though, and i prefer godsmack, a little more mellow.

Re: Rage against the machine?
System of down's early stuff is awsome
I was really dissapointed with their new album though
i tend to like faster, heavier, and more complicated music
Thats one of the main reasons i love RATM
i dont really like rap
but i like Zack de la Rocha's vocals
It goes real well with the music

Re: Rage against the machine?
Yes, he drove to Coachella with two of his friends. It was a huge concert, and it was last weekend. He's already home. They had a blast, and said, indeed, it was awesome. Red hot chilis and all!
The political side of it is what attracts Andrew, I think. He's into politics, etc.
Ya know... this is crazy, but I'm almost as proud of him for arranging and getting to this concert on his own, as I am of his nearly 4.0 at college. Showing that he can arrange, drive with friends, save the money for, etc... and go to this concert takes a responsible kid. I may be crazy, but that's how I feel. He saved the money, arranged the trip, looked forward to it for months, and made it happen. All the while, still maintaining his grades. Good boy! Good boy!
