We didn't post it last year because it was rarely used and people were getting upset because they put their name on the list and didn't get a ride.
For ocean trips, open seats often occur at the last minute. The ocean lays down or someone can't make it and you have and open seat. In this case, most skippers post a thread for that seat and fill it quickly without referring to the pinned thread.
*** your name to the open seat thread if you wish but keep a close eye on ocean conditions as they will reveal the open seats to come.

All true Crabby. I mostly just enjoy reading all the posts. Some pretty good qualifications there. I have taken a couple of guys from the list in the past but for sake of time I give up after a couple turn me down and most often will just post an open seat thread after that. But I try. Like Crabby said keep an eye out for open seat posts as that is your best chance to catch a ride. Your name on the list does not guarantee a ride. New Sea Duty Drivers thread looks like fun too. I love virtual boat shows.

Will there be an open seat posting?
