Tomorrow I will either...
Work on finishing up the trim work in the nursery and begin the trim work in the basement...
OR....
Go fishing on the Sandy, Clack, or at the Nehalem hatchery. Might not be Nehalem...cant remember, just know where it is...go out 26, past Camp whatever restaurant, turn left at the convenience store, go a few miles down the road... whatever that one is.
Anyway, the continued rain has me wondering if the fishing will be any good for a bankie like myself.
Any inputs or suggestions (besides the obvious, "buy a boat")?

Re: Tomorrow I will either...
Yep, that's the one....but is it worth the drive from NE Portland? Or am I better off on the Sandy or Clack? Or am I better off working on the honey-do's?

h20dog,
Yup! My wife has named Hwy 53 "barf road", and I can't travel it when she is with me. I always avoid it when towing or carrying a load like a camper.
CT - tough choice. I would watch the river levels closely. It's a long drive if it is blown. Clack should fish OK. Honey-Do's always need to be worked on, how's your credit?

Re: Tomorrow I will either...
Kid is scheduled to arrive in 6 weeks. Could come a couple weeks early...that leaves 4 weekends to get the work done. My wife, obviously, is not really able to help much at this stage. In two weeks she is having the shower...so I'll either go fishing or out to shoot pool or something with the other husbands while their wives are at my place. I need more fishing friends.
That said...I have not fished since October, and that was my first trip since probably May...and there were only 3-4 other trips before that. :depressed:
I am aching to catch fish...but cant **** off the wife. Decisions decisions. If I go, and come home with fish, she'll be happy for me. If I return empty handed, she'll still be happy that I got out, but will also start to fret about the diminishing countdown till baby time.

CT,
Sounds like your schedule will fit perfect with my other post about the Dodge!
Let me know if you are interested.

H2O Dog,
Carsick driver is the truth on 53. I fished the Wilson today and it was starting to rise...but visibility was still pretty good...probably 4 feet.
Cool Texan-call the North Fork Hatchery number in the morning and see what the message says. That will be a good indicator if it is worth the drive. Good luck.

Re: Tomorrow I will either...
They have a call in number with recorded message? That could have saved me some trips in the past!
