8 Month Old GSP
Ok, my kids are going to hate me for a while but I think they will get over it. I have an 8 Month old AKC Registered GSP. He has some basic training but with a move from the country to a smaller house and yard in town he has become more dog then we can have right now. He is a great dog and if someone has the time he will be a great bird dog. He is very birdy and loves to be in the field. He has been registered and all the paperwork is in hand. Regetered name "Jacksons Rocky Storm" Rocky. I would like $200 and can work with some one on delivery. I have pictures but still have not mastered the posting of them. I can e-mail them to someone to post or just to an e-mail.
Thanks

Has he been neutered? Is he housebroken? Kennel trained? Any leash work at all? Any idea how he is with a cat?

Re: 8 Month Old GSP
No he has not been nutered, yes he is house broken, yes he is kennel trained but dosn't like to be left in when everyone is out, he has been on a leash and does ok he needs some more work and consitancy however he does not pull. As far as the cat goes, I think he would be very interested in playing with it, he has been around a small terrypoo all his life and they play all the time. I think it would only take a couple of whacks from the cat and that would end.
Let me know if you want any more info.
Thanks

Re: 8 Month Old GSP
This guy is still looking for a good home. I am open to trades if anyone is interested.
My kids had him out this weekend on the leash and he did really good. He has been spending more time in his kennel latly and seems to be handeling that really well also.
He is a great dog

Re: 8 Month Old GSP
Ok, ladies and gents, this is now the wife. This dog needs a new home, NOW! We have 1,000 sq.f of space, and Rocky and me are at war. He is a hilarious dog that is incredibly smart, but has to have more room! If we don't find a new home for Rocky, then we have to find a new home for my husband. One of the 2 has to go, and I'm kinda fond of the hubby (he's the only one who knows how to get into the gun safe, where MY guns are, so I need to keep him around.)
Rocky is great with kids, kinda a bed hog, loves long walks, loves putting up bird, downside, does have a penchant for paper napkins.
Tell your friends, tell your neighbors, tell your husbands he's what your want for Mother's day. Tell your wife its what your getting her for Mother's day.
We can be very flexible on payment, he is definetly OBO. Considering that none of us can turn around without smacking into someone else in our small new digs, an 8 month old pup just aint working. Thanks for your help!!

Re: 8 Month Old GSP
Pup is still here. Husband has been tied up and stuffed in a closet, wife willing to make a heck of a deal to a good home. The GSP, not the husband. Call within the next 10 minutes and we will throw in a great leash for no extra cost.

Re: 8 Month Old GSP
My name is Patty and I am the cordinator of the GSP Club of Oregon's GSP Rescue. I stumbled across your thread and am pleased that you are trying to do what is best for you boy. He looks like a very nice, beautiful dog.
If you haven't already contacted your breeder please do so as if I was the breeder of such a handsome boy I would want him back.
If you need any help placing your boy please let me know.

Sincerely, Patty McNary

Re: 8 Month Old GSP
Unfortunately, the breeder was a dog lover, but had to many other dogs to take care of. He was not set up for having dogs. They were all in small runs with no outside run time due to his work. That is why we are trying to find him a nice home that will give him the freedom to run and the hunting training he needs. We definetly never figured that we would have to give him up, but it is unfare to keep him now that we have had to move into town. Ifish is the only place we are advertising him, since that is where the quality hunting people are. And, my goodness, he is birdy! We don't want to see such a great family dog and hunting potential go to waste. Thanks!
PS: I untied my husband.
