Columbia last day report
I fished the deadline at the dam till almost noon. There were only about 40 boats above Tanner creek. That may sound like a lot, but no nearly as bad as it has been. Not windy this morning and little to no rain. Kind of pleasant out there.
The dam was dumping water and it was hard to keep it down with 12 ounces. I saw maybe 12 fish caught before noon. I had one hit my eggs but I missed it, We got one more in the boat that was clipped.
The guides were telling us the nets were in last night from the dam to beacon rock. That was a nice little present for the sportfishermans last day.
Anyway, it was crowded but not so bad it wasnt unfishable. We got our lines tangled with only one boat, one time, and that was because they were above us about 100 feet and long lining under our boat with a couple ounces of lead. Doughballs got all 3 of us in one swoop. We just cut there lines and went back to fishing. They had to hate that.
