Hi, Jennie!
Our thanks to 'sinker' for his generous donation, as well as to others who are donating time, tackle and much-needed funds to make our effort at taking disadvantaged and dislabled kids shad fishing in the Willamette on June 2nd.
Those who are willing to help should be aware that we
have acquired our tax ID number which means donations are tax-deductable.
My apologies for not yet answering your Email, Jen, but I just now re-constructed my old computer after gutting it for cards and drives which were to be used in a new box that I built. Unfortunately, I'm now the proud owner of a 1300Mhz aluminum boat anchor 'cause the new 'puter doesn't work (won't POST). At least with the old one up and running, I'm back with a means of communication. I'll contact you later today.
For all who have volunteered to help take kids fishing, an Email update will go out in the next two days. We realize that the ifishers Floatilla II is a conflict, but we had to schedule the DreamCasters event around Rose Festival activities and June 2nd was that only date that would work and coincide with the shad run.
The website at [URL=www.Dream-Casters.org[/URL] will also be up and running in the next few days.
Those wishing to contribute or volunteer to take some kids fishing can Email
DreamCasters@TheGuidesForecast.com . We plan to make a difference in some young people's lives, showing them that someone cares and sharing angling ethics.
Thanks again, Jennie, for all your help in getting the word out on this endeavor. You
are the best!
~Michael T.
