My favorite (and one everyone loves):

Take fillet (preferably 12 inches or longer - a whole fillet off one side of a 42-45 incher is perfect) and rub with some lemon juice. Sprinkle with celery salt and Garlic salt on one side and Lowry's cracked black pepper seasoning salt on the other. Put it right on the bar-b-que grill for about 6 minutes, flip it over and after 3 minutes, spoon blue cheese dressing on top. Close the grill up again for another 3-4 minutes until the blue cheese just starts to turn light brown and bubbly. Best sturgeon you'll ever eat.

You can also cut it into one inch cubes, boil some pickling spices and boil the cubes for about 4 minutes. Dip it in melted butter and it tastes a lot like lobster.

Hey NorthriverB. We did nothing except a just barely keeper sturgeon which we released.

Favorite gator recipe.

Panko bread crumbs
Tempura batter
Fresh sturgeon
Peanut oil
Fresh mushrooms

Heat 3" of peanut oil in a deep, covered saucepan to 350 degrees.

Cut sturgeon in one inch cubes

Drown sturgeon in tempura and roll in Panko bread crumbs. Do mushrooms the same way.

Deep fry for 3 minutes, about 20 chunks at a time.

Drain on a paper towel and serve with ranch dressing and cocktail sauce.

Default Sturgeon Receipes

We put some Sturgeon in the boat Friday, my first, so would like to hear some ifish favorite receipes.
Also fished the Columbia out of Chinook Landing Saturday and saw a 9 am bite with only a strike for us, no hookup. Pilar, good to see you out there, hope you did better than we did.
