Default Fishing and Hot Chocolate

How can you guys go out in 30 degree weather and drink a 6 pack of cold beer? BRRR~!
Or Tequilla? I did that ONCE with RT. Sure, it was fun, but I didn't get much fishing done! I laughed alot! But it was COLD!!!!
It's just not my style.. Maybe I'm getting old, but I like hot chocolate, coffee with hazelnut in it... or a splash of vanilla extract.
Maybe... just MAYBE a little irish creme or Bayleys. But beer??? BRRRRRRRR!!!!
Rarely on the coast is it beer weather, even in the summer!
I like the guy who said he has two different hobbies, beer and fishing, and they take place at seperate times! Or something like that!
I like a keen feel when I am out there fishing. Afterwards, a warm brandy by the fire...
Clearly this thread won't be nearly as popular as Stews!
Jen

I have never understood how someone could drink beer out on the river when it's drizzling and cold. Different strokes I guess.I'm really too into fishing to drink anything for that matter except hot coffee. I was fishing in mid-December and it was so cold the water was freezing in my guides whne these guys come down to the river with a half-case!!!! I don't get it

This reminds me one time of sitting on a dock at a local lake. It was a constant 15-20mph wind with non stop rain. The only other people with low enough IQ to sit out there with me and not even get a bite were these 3 guys at the end of the dock.
About every 45 minutes or so one of them would run for another half rack of beer. Mind you the nearest store is about 10 miles away. Why they weren't smart enough to stock up is beyond me.
Oh wait, thats right they were out there on that dock in the wind and rain with me.

Jen, a little touch of peach brandy in that hot drink works wonders, Then you feel warm enough you can drink the beer ha ha ha.

Early morning trips to Drano, Wind, or 2:30 am Summer Steelhead make Hot Chocolate a must with me, especially if the kids are going along.
Only alcohol I'll do is an occasional beer while anchoring in Aug/Sept for Upriver Brights but nothing crazy. Used to carry a 5th of Jack Daniels in the boat and who ever caught a fish would take a shot. This came to an end after a day of boating 37 silvers and trying to load the boat at the end. Ouch! Ended that ceremony real quick.
