Default Costco lamb and rice bad too?

I heard on the news last night that our dog food, Costco Lamb and rice is bad, now too.

There goes 20 bucks! I just bought a bag, burned it, and put it in our cannister.

No proof, no money back, and we've only used it for less than a week.

Is it really bad, too? Sheesh.

It seems like every week there is a new one!

I think it may be just the wet food, from all that I can find.

Maybe we are still OK? Does anyone know? We feed the dry food.

Jen,
Costco will take anything back, even on your good word. Just ask! You should not have to pay for that. Thanks for the heads up, I almost bought that stuff. whew.

I can't find anything on the Costco.com website. Where else would they put an announcement?
They have been "out of" Kirkland canned dogfood at least since Tuesday and I noticed a sign posted in the aisle Thursday that none of their foods are affected.

There are some articles on google saying that the information has been difficult to get from them.
I heard it on the news last night.

I know that Costco is very good about taking things back, but somehow it bugs me not to do it the right way.
I have seen people bring back things, so obviously used and abused. The Costco folks just smile and are so nice about it! Good business, but I feel badly that some people abuse that honor. I hope they can afford to keep it up.

So is it the dry food or the wet food. What is the verdict.

So far only the wet food has been affected. Notices are put up on a bulletin board near the return desk for any product that has a recall.
Costco has an excellent return policy.
Any Customer that is not satisfied with a product is more than welcome to return it.
If you have any concerns about your pet food, please do not hesitate to take it back to Costco. A receipt is easier, that way you get the price you paid (in case of a change), but not absolutely necessary.
If you have questions please call 503-794-5509 or 503-794-5510 these are phone numbers for the customer service desk at the Clackamas location.

Please take the time to get your money back. Costco is in the business of helping our Customers, not taking advantage of them.
Thanks,
Rob

Costco can and will look up your membership number then see that you recently bought the product. I just returned a product and didn't have a reciept that they were able to see that I purchased even though it was some time ago. They were very nice about it and asked if I wanted cash or a gift card.

I know they will. But, we didn't buy the wet. Yay! I'm home free, so far.
