Default Gerber Sale

I saw in the Oregonian yesterday that Gerber is having a sale on Saturday and Sunday. This is a first ever sale direct to the public sale. I do not know if it will be any good or not. If it is anything like the Kershaw Knife sale it has a chance of being worth the trip. The article says the following brands will be featured. Gerber, Fiskars, Carolina knife and Tool and Bucket boss.

Saturday 4/28/01 9 am to 4 pm
Sunay 4/29/01 9 am to 1 pm

14200 SW 72nd Ave - Portland
Just off 217 on 72nd Ave next to I-5.

I dont know if this worth the trip, but I am going to try and make it Sunday to see if they have any hot deals.

Saturday I am gonna chase the elusive springer. If anybody makes it Saturday please post if it was any good. thanks

Default Re: Gerber Sale

Did anybody else make this????? What did I miss?

I got there right at closing at 1 pm today. They were starting to put stuff away. I did manage to get a couple things.

All multi tools were $20 (add $1 for a case). The multi tool I got came with a mini mag lite (2AA batteries) for $25. I kind of like that one hand opening of the pliers. Hope it holds up as well as my leathermans.

Lots of pocket knives for $6 to $17.

Those cute little axes Gerber makes with the black plastic handles that are around $35 in the stores were $14 and the guy ahead of me got the last one. Almost everybody was packing one except me

The bucket boss tool organizers were $1 to $4 depending on which model.

Wish I would have had a little more time to look around before it all got put away.

BOE,

You missed lots of scissors, 2 types of axes both at the same price. But the big item was their big bowie knife with a blade about 10" for $38. I would have got one except no sheath and the blade didn't have a blood grove, a bad design IMO. They had another big 6" fixed blade knife with sheath for about $32, but that didn't get me excited like the "Now that's a knife"
