Default Any Alum. Fabricators out there?

Was wondering if it's possible to "guesstimate" the weight of a piece of alum. that was 82" long by 40" wide and 22" high. Thickness would be 3/16". Would shaving another 1/16" make that much difference? Thanks.

I'm missing something - 82" x 40" x 22" ? How can it be 3/16" thick?

Yeah my bad. I was looking at the dimensions of something and didn't even stop to think about it. The metal needs to be stamped and in doing so will create a cover that is 22" high.

Anyways, I found what I was looking for. Should weigh about 56lbs. give or take for a .125 sheet.

175# per cubic foot, .1 lb per cubic inch.

.101x 1/16 x (8904-1936)=44 pound weight difference, I assume you are making a shoe box with out a cover 22 inches deep.

132 lbs vs 88

Stamped out or fabricated? If stamped it will weigh whatever the sheet you stamp it out of less the flash.
