Another Gobbler Down
I finally got to get back out in the woods this AM. Had perfect setup between multiple roosted gobblers and some hens cam down right near me. This guy came running in trying to beat a couple other gobblers to me. He actually ran right by the road I had me decoys set up on and I only had his head and shoulders sticking up on the down hill side. The jelly head put him down in his tracks. 7 ½” beard ½” spurs. Not as big as the toms I have taken the last couple years, but certainly a shooter.

Re: Another Gobbler Down
My dad shot a 10" beard tom this AM in the same spot I took this bird yesterday. He had the same set up as me yesterday. Got in between multiple gobblers in the roost and the hens came down near where he was. I was not there so I don't have any pictures.
The birds really started coming on this week compared to last weekend. I will probably try and get out in the next couple days for bird # two since the springers are starting to show. We had a shot at a huge tom last year in this spot that I would like to catch up with, but he is a leary old dude.
